My Story.

I am a proud product (and strong supporter!) of public education. I grew up on the west side of Indianapolis, attending Wayne Township schools. I was raised by a single mom, was a "latchkey" kid, and lived in Section 8 subsidized housing. I saw what it was like to write a check at the grocery on Wednesday in hopes that it wouldn't clear the bank until getting paid on Friday. I remember what it was like for dinner to be a baked potato or bowl of cereal. This life experience helps me understand and empathize with many of the families we serve in Lawrence Township, and I KNOW a strong public education is the ticket to a better life.

After graduating from Ben Davis, I went on to attend the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University where I earned a bachelor's degree with concentrations in Accounting and Computer Information Systems.

I currently serve as the Director of Finance and Administration for Leaf Software Solutions, a local software development company, where I have worked for over 26 years. My responsibilities include oversight of accounting and finance, human resources, contract

negotiations, and office operations. My eye for detail, and data analysis prepare me to be more than just a rubber stamp for the administration.

I have lived in Lawrence Township for over 23 years.  My wife and I have a son who attends Lawrence Central.  I am passionate about my community.  I have been involved with our local scout pack and troop for 9 years, having served as a den leader, treasurer, and advancement chair.  I am a graduate of the Lawrence Township Stakeholders Academy, serve on the Finance Committee for the Lawrence Township School Foundation (LTSF), and served as treasurer for the Amy Beverland Elementary Family Association (ABFA) and Dads' Club.
